About the role
- FP&A Analyst with management accounting background at Simplot, focusing on month-end activities and financial analysis for the Commercial division.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely reporting for the Commercial team, including variance analysis and commentary, to support decision making
- Support the monthly IBP forecast and annual budget process, by helping to ensure data inputs deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial outputs
- Play a key role in driving SG&A cost efficiency across the Commercial team, through forecasting, reporting and analysis of key expense accounts
- Provide accounting and system support for Commercial related month-end tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Partner with key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing and other areas of Finance, providing information and business support as required
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting and financial analysis
- CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar industry role or large / mid-tier firm
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with month-end processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Able to manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- A proactive, curious mindset with a continuous-improvement focus
- Confident with accounting systems and BI tools (PowerBI)
