About the role
- Senior Software Engineer leading DevOps for radiotherapy software delivery at Siemens Healthineers. Designing automated, modern deployment ecosystems for mission-critical healthcare applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of next-generation deployment orchestration workflows using Docker, containers, Kubernetes (on-prem) on RHEL, Ubuntu, and hybrid cloud environments
- Architect, implement, and enhance CI/CD/CT pipelines to accelerate high-quality software releases
- Modernize legacy build systems and support migration from TFS to Git/Azure DevOps
- Build and manage artifact management workflows using JFrog Artifactory and modern package tools (NuGet, npm, etc.)
- Drive automation of installers and deployment workflows (MSI/WiX, containerized installers, secure package distribution)
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform, Ansible, etc. for resource provisioning and automation
- Support and extend hybrid containerized clusters for compute workloads and orchestrated deployments
Requirements
- Bachelors in engineering/CS (8+ years' experience) or Master’s (6+ years)
- 8+ years of professional software development or DevOps experience
- Strong proficiency in C++, C#, Python, Batch/PowerShell scripting
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft builds and release tooling (MS Build, Azure DevOps, TFS, or Jenkins/TeamCity)
- Strong understanding of SCM tools: Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Bitbucket
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory/Nexus, SQL & NoSQL databases
- Ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines on-prem and in cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with Windows Installer (MSI), WiX 3.x/4.x/5.x
- Familiarity with static code analysis tools (Coverity, Blackduck, SonarQube)
- Professional knowledge of cloud concepts and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS)
