About the role
- Operations Financial Analyst responsible for shack performance reporting and financial analysis at Shake Shack. Collaborating with Ops leadership to improve visibility and decision-making on financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Own weekly and monthly Shack performance reporting shared with Operations
- Partner cross-functionally with Ops leadership on reporting to ensure alignment with current field initiatives
- Analyze Shack-level financial results, identify drivers, and communicate variances to business partners
- Serve as one of the main points of contact for field questions related to their Shacks financial performance
- Support the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and reporting processes for Pre-Opening Expense
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or another relevant field
- 1-2 years of related experience in finance, banking, accounting, or another relevant field
- Restaurant/QSR experience or demonstrated understanding of restaurant KPIs and P&L mechanics
- Strong Excel skills for building models, dashboards, and repeatable reporting outputs
- Working knowledge of SQL and/or a data tool (Python, Alteryx, Tableau)
- Highly detail-oriented, well organized, and able to handle recurring deadlines in conjunction with ad-hoc requests
