About the role

• Embedded Developer designing and optimizing embedded software for measurement devices. Collaborating closely with hardware and software development teams in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

• Development and optimization of embedded software for our measurement and locating devices
• Implementation of firmware on ARM-based microcontroller platforms
• Participation in the architecture, design and implementation of innovative device features
• Analysis, debugging and testing of embedded systems (e.g. using JTAG, logic analyzer)
• Close collaboration with hardware, software and product development teams
• Contribution to documentation as well as development and quality processes

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Excellent knowledge of C/C++ for embedded systems
• Experience in low-level microcontroller programming, ideally following MISRA guidelines
• Practical experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or bare-metal programming
• Solid understanding of microcontroller architectures, particularly ARM Cortex-M
• Familiarity with structured software development processes (e.g. V-model) is an advantage
• Analytical, structured working style, team-oriented and enthusiastic about complex technical challenges
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
