About the role
- Embedded Developer designing and optimizing embedded software for measurement devices. Collaborating closely with hardware and software development teams in a hybrid work setup.
Responsibilities
- Development and optimization of embedded software for our measurement and locating devices
- Implementation of firmware on ARM-based microcontroller platforms
- Participation in the architecture, design and implementation of innovative device features
- Analysis, debugging and testing of embedded systems (e.g. using JTAG, logic analyzer)
- Close collaboration with hardware, software and product development teams
- Contribution to documentation as well as development and quality processes
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Excellent knowledge of C/C++ for embedded systems
- Experience in low-level microcontroller programming, ideally following MISRA guidelines
- Practical experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or bare-metal programming
- Solid understanding of microcontroller architectures, particularly ARM Cortex-M
- Familiarity with structured software development processes (e.g. V-model) is an advantage
- Analytical, structured working style, team-oriented and enthusiastic about complex technical challenges
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
