About the role

• Accountant responsible for all accounting operations in Germany at Nitrado. Handling accounts receivable and payable with collaboration across local and international teams.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for accounts receivable accounting including dunning/collections and provide holiday cover for accounts payable (incoming invoices, company mailbox, payment processing).
• You perform account reconciliations and prepare important tax filings (e.g., VAT, OSS, ZM, Z4).
• In close cooperation with the HR department, you are responsible for reconciling payroll accounts.
• You support our Swiss entities in collaboration with the local tax advisor, including bookings (accounts receivable/accounts payable), account reconciliations and payroll/salary.
• You support the Finance team in monitoring and analyzing workflows, identify optimization opportunities and actively contribute your hands-on mentality.
• From day one you take responsibility for your own projects and ensure smooth communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• You have solid experience with DATEV and can post all types of business transactions independently.
• You have very good knowledge of general accounting, in particular the application of the HGB, preparation of annual financial statements and the basics of German tax law.
• You have proven experience in posting and reconciling payroll entries/accounts.
• Ideally you have between 2 and 5 years of accounting experience.
• Your German skills are at a very good level; you also communicate confidently in written and spoken English.
• You have experience with modern tools such as Spendesk, Navan or Bexio and with common MS Office programs (Excel, Word).
• You are a loyal team player with a strong hands-on mentality.
• You work in a structured, proactive and solution-oriented manner and have a strong process and quality focus.
• You keep a cool head even in stressful situations and have strong communication skills.
• You are familiar with working in a remote or hybrid model and bring high flexibility and willingness to adapt.
