About the role
- Accountant managing financial transactions and assisting with annual financial statements using DATEV. Collaborating with a motivated team and optimizing accounting processes in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Review, code and post ongoing business transactions in accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and bank accounting for multiple entities in DATEV
- Review and post travel expense and credit card statements
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Review intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare payment transactions and monthly reporting procedures
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements
- Contribute to the development and optimization of accounting processes and structures
- Prepare monthly financial statements independently
- Ensure completeness and proper period allocation of all business transactions
Requirements
- Vocational qualification as a tax clerk, tax specialist or certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Good to very good knowledge of DATEV
- Solid experience and knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Preferably extensive experience in preparing monthly financial statements
- Ideally experience in preparing annual financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, notes, management report)
- Confident user of common PC and internet applications, especially MS Office (Excel)
- Communicative and team-oriented personality
- High level of initiative and reliability, with a structured working style
