Infrastructure Lead managing cloud-native systems and architecting infrastructure for a rapidly growing AI company. Leading a team while ensuring robust systems efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Design and evolve highly scalable microservices architecture capable of handling over 100,000 requests per second.
Develop robust infrastructure that spans cloud and edge environments, incorporating dynamic workloads and real-time messaging.
Lead the architecture of fault-tolerant, enterprise-grade messaging systems with strong SLAs and minimal latency.
Design secure authentication mechanisms for edge machines, API key management, and secure service communication.
Lead and mentor a team of 15+ infrastructure and cloud engineers; drive delivery and maintain engineering excellence.
Set infrastructure strategy across cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and align it with business goals and product development roadmaps.
Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, safe deployment across multiple environments.
Champion loose coupling, service-oriented architectures, and best practices for distributed systems at scale.
Continuously profile and optimize infrastructure for latency, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.
Partner with Robotics, AI, and Product teams to deliver robust, resilient platforms for real-world deployment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of hands-on experience designing cloud-native systems, with a strong record of success at scale.
Proven leadership of teams (15+ engineers) in high-growth, mission-critical environments.
Bonus: Former CTO and co-founder with end-to-end product delivery experience.
Deep experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure, especially for global, high-volume systems.
Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and edge computing infrastructure.
Expertise in service orchestration, API security, messaging protocols (e.g., Kafka, MQTT), and microservices.
Experience building and maintaining resilient CI/CD pipelines.
