Responsibilities
- Drive the conceptual design and development of medical device components and systems – from requirement definition through to prototyping and evaluation
- Create CAD models, technical drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and test specifications
- Take ownership of verification, validation, and the regulatory documentation related to mechanical assemblies
- Support the industrialization process and ensure a smooth transition from development to production
- Assist the procurement team in technical discussions with suppliers
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, Mechatronics or a related field
- At least 5 years of industry experience involving CAD design and drawing generation
- Good knowledge of materials and processes, especially metals and plastics used in mechatronic device applications
- Experience in sub-project management and supplier collaboration
- Experience in mechanical testing, including type approval, functional validation, and prototype evaluation
- Experience with coatings and adhesive bonding is a plus
- English C1, German B2 and French B1
