About the role

• Contribute to and maintain the cloud infrastructure of Sensat's geospatial AI platform. Support reliable service deployment and security, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure to support reliable service deployment and scaling across multiple environments.
• Development of security controls and policies, including IAM configuration, network security, and compliance monitoring.
• Work to implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities.
• Contribute to infrastructure design decisions, focusing on reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to and improve the standards for software engineering, such as code quality, automated testing, documentation / knowledge sharing, and broader team processes.

Requirements

• Strong expertise with AWS or equivalent public cloud offerings including:
• ECS/Fargate or equivalent for container orchestration
• VPC networking and security groups
• IAM and secrets management
• CloudWatch or equivalent for monitoring and alerting
• Security best practises for cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Pulumi preferred, or Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Go or similar for infrastructure code
• Experience with Docker and containerisation
• 3-5 years commercial experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
