About the role
- Contribute to and maintain the cloud infrastructure of Sensat's geospatial AI platform. Support reliable service deployment and security, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure to support reliable service deployment and scaling across multiple environments.
- Development of security controls and policies, including IAM configuration, network security, and compliance monitoring.
- Work to implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities.
- Contribute to infrastructure design decisions, focusing on reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to and improve the standards for software engineering, such as code quality, automated testing, documentation / knowledge sharing, and broader team processes.
Requirements
- Strong expertise with AWS or equivalent public cloud offerings including:
- ECS/Fargate or equivalent for container orchestration
- VPC networking and security groups
- IAM and secrets management
- CloudWatch or equivalent for monitoring and alerting
- Security best practises for cloud infrastructure
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Pulumi preferred, or Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Go or similar for infrastructure code
- Experience with Docker and containerisation
- 3-5 years commercial experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
