Responsibilities
- Implementing, assessing, and improving the security of cybersecurity solutions
- Conduct application security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities
- Drive Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) to ensure necessary security controls are integrated
- Perform Secure Code Reviews throughout the SSDLC process
- Collaborate with the development team to design secure software systems and applications
- Create, maintain, and communicate the application security policy and guidelines
- Assist in incident response activities, including identifying, investigating, and resolving security breaches
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience as an Application Security Engineer for a software vendor, or Application Security Consultant for a professional services provider
- Proficiency in secure coding practices and an understanding of common security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws
- Proficiency in various programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, C++, Python, etc.
- Experience with application security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST, etc.) and knowledge of threat modeling or risk identification techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication & multi-departmental collaboration skills.
