About the role

  • Purchasing Clerk responsible for operational procurement of materials for production efficiency in a multinational glass company. Engaging in order processing, supplier communications, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operational procurement of raw, auxiliary and operating materials (RHB) as well as indirect materials to ensure uninterrupted production processes
  • Processing orders in line with the requirements of production planning and internal departments
  • Reviewing order confirmations and pre-accounting of invoices
  • Monitoring delivery dates and ensuring on-time availability of materials
  • Ensuring compliance with and implementation of central purchasing policies, guidelines and strategies
  • Monitoring inventory levels in collaboration with warehouse management and taking measures to prevent shortages
  • Handling supplier complaints and claims
  • Maintaining purchasing and material data in the ERP system

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training or equivalent
  • Professional experience as a purchasing clerk, preferably in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and a solution-oriented, structured approach to work
  • Numeracy, confident demeanor and persistence
  • Excellent communication skills, team orientation and assertiveness
  • Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
