About the role
- Purchasing Clerk responsible for operational procurement of materials for production efficiency in a multinational glass company. Engaging in order processing, supplier communications, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational procurement of raw, auxiliary and operating materials (RHB) as well as indirect materials to ensure uninterrupted production processes
- Processing orders in line with the requirements of production planning and internal departments
- Reviewing order confirmations and pre-accounting of invoices
- Monitoring delivery dates and ensuring on-time availability of materials
- Ensuring compliance with and implementation of central purchasing policies, guidelines and strategies
- Monitoring inventory levels in collaboration with warehouse management and taking measures to prevent shortages
- Handling supplier complaints and claims
- Maintaining purchasing and material data in the ERP system
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training or equivalent
- Professional experience as a purchasing clerk, preferably in a production/manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills and a solution-oriented, structured approach to work
- Numeracy, confident demeanor and persistence
- Excellent communication skills, team orientation and assertiveness
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
