About the role
- Risk Data Modeller developing integrated data architecture for compliance in Finance, Risk, and Compliance areas. Collaborating with stakeholders for regulatory and business needs in SEB's innovative tech environment.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the data architecture within the risk area.
- Capture and interpret business and regulatory requirements driven by our major initiatives.
- Develop an integrated data architecture for Risk that supports all risk types.
- Ensure data is consistent, integrated, traceable, and fit for regulatory and business use.
- Develop business information and logical data models that align with business needs.
- Support the definition of business terms and ensure consistent representation.
- Ensure compliance with BCBS 239, Basel/CRR, IFRS, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from the risk organisation, data management professionals, and architects.
Requirements
- Strong professional background in risk management within a banking or financial services (e.g., credit, market, counterparty, or liquidity risk).
- Competence in developing ontologies, business information models, and logical data models (including normalised and dimensional models), as well as data definitions, data mapping specifications, and data flows.
- Good understanding of data warehouse architectures and methodologies, and familiarity with the Data Mesh framework and data products.
- Knowledge of regulatory and data management requirements in Finance and Risk areas, and how data architecture enables compliance and governance.
- Experience with BCBS 239 (Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting, RDARR) would be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to convey complex ideas effectively to both business and IT professionals.
- Fluency in English.
