About the role

  • Transport Respiratory Therapist at Seattle Children's Hospital ensuring patient safety and critical care during transport. Collaborate with mobile transport team and maintain high standards of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety of patients prior to and during transport to medical care facilities.
  • Provision of basic patient care as well as advanced life support measures required to stabilize the critically ill or injured patient.
  • Demonstration of proficiency in neonatal and pediatric critical care respiratory practices.
  • Familiarity with ambulance and aircraft operating procedures and safety practices.
  • Team member along with Registered Nurses and Emergency Medical Technicians within the mobile transport team.
  • Available for call.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Minimum of two (2) years current pediatric intensive care (PICU), cardiac intensive care (CICU), or neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) experience.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current Washington State RCP License.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be obtained within three (3) months of start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP).
