About the role
- Software Engineer responsible for development and support within a defense company focused on automation and agile methodologies. Joining Seamless Migration team to enhance business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of SNOW instances
- Design, develop, and build custom applications
- Write production backend applications
- Ship and run services in cloud environments, with a focus on AWS
- Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems
- Identifies and implements best-practice solutions to address client requirements
- Performs operational support of custom development and 3rd party integrations
- Performs unit-testing and resolves code defects
- Assists with technical design and documentation
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and team members to build solutions that support business requirements
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience in design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, Bash, JavaScript)
- Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter
- Strong documentation and verbal communication skills to collaborate with and convey focused messages to stakeholders, customers, domain experts, program managers, and teammates encompassing architecture, high-level, and detailed system designs
- Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-level IT systems
- Experience deploying cloud-based enterprise-level applications such as in AWS and Azure
- Experience with Linux and deployed Linux-based systems
- Experience with system upgrades, patching, and regular IT system maintenance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure; ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
