About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead vacuum system maintenance and troubleshooting for advanced sputter deposition equipment.
- Manage reconfiguration projects, preventive maintenance schedules, and system readiness for R&D.
- Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and operators to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Vacuum Technology Expertise : High/Ultra-high vacuum principles, leak detection, gas flow dynamics.
- Pump Systems : Rotary vane, scroll, turbomolecular, cryogenic pumps.
- Instrumentation : Pirani, cold cathode, ion gauges; calibration and interpretation.
- Leak Detection : Helium leak testing and troubleshooting.
- Electrical & Control Systems : Power supply troubleshooting, PLC interface understanding.
- Preventive Maintenance : Scheduling, documentation, and performance reporting.
- Able to work 11.5-hour shifts
- Able to travel locally occasionally
