About the role

  • Development Engineer for control technology and test systems in a production and logistics automation company. Join us to implement effective solutions in Industry 4.0 at SCIO Automation.

Responsibilities

  • Development and commissioning of control and test systems for special-purpose machinery
  • Conceptualization, implementation and testing of software solutions in NI LabVIEW, VeriStand and TestStand
  • Setup and integration of DAQ systems as well as automation of calibration and adjustment processes
  • Calculation, evaluation and plausibility checks of measurement data
  • Creation of user-friendly operator interfaces (UI) for test and calibration systems
  • Preparation and maintenance of MSA reports (Measurement System Analysis) and test documentation
  • Integration and configuration of hardware platforms such as NI PXI and NI CompactRIO (cRIO)
  • Performing commissionings, functional tests and fault analyses on machines and systems
  • Preparation of technical documentation (software, test procedures, interface specifications)
  • Close collaboration with mechanical, electronics and design teams

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable field (university/technical university/university of applied sciences)
  • Basic knowledge of measurement, control and regulation technology
  • Experience with NI LabVIEW or similar conventional programming languages
  • Interest in DAQ systems, test engineering and special-purpose machine construction
  • Ideally first experience in data analysis and UI development
  • Structured, independent working style and enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Good German language skills, spoken and written
