About the role

  • Art Director leading creative direction for brand and entertainment marketing campaigns at Saylor Agency. Collaborating with creatives and managing projects across digital and traditional media.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design direction for projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives and compelling storytelling.
  • Innovate and set the standard for RFP presentations and project designs, pushing the boundaries of creative possibilities.
  • Embrace Saylor’s core value of curiosity, fostering an environment where innovative ideas thrive.
  • Manage and mentor a diverse team of designers, guiding them in their creative processes and professional development.
  • Promote a culture of trust, respect, and open communication, ensuring collective accountability and efficient, collaborative workflows.
  • In collaboration with the Design Resource Manager and Creative Producers, promote synergy with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Actively evaluate and refine creative workflows to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and collaboration, ensuring that the design process supports Saylor’s objectives and fosters a productive creative environment.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director - Design, fellow Art Directors, and other department heads to create cohesive and impactful creative strategies.
  • Mentor and uplift fellow designers and their ideas to promote collaboration and innovation, ensuring that all team members contribute creatively to projects.
  • Champion inclusivity, ensuring diverse perspectives are integrated into project workflows and creative outputs.
  • Continuously seek out and apply the latest trends and technologies in design and multimedia to keep Saylor at the forefront of the industry.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptability, encouraging the team to explore new ideas and solutions.
  • Serve as a creative liaison for clients, effectively presenting ideas and gathering feedback as needed.
  • Build and maintain trust through consistent delivery of outstanding creative work and by exceeding client expectations.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of extensive experience as an Art Director, preferably in digital and social media advertising, within the entertainment or related creative industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of creative professionals.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Asana) and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital design processes, digital marketing, and motion design.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual details.
