Shift Maintenance First Line Manager supervising mechanics at Savannah River Mission Completion. Responsible for ensuring work compliance with safety and operational standards overseeing maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the direct supervision of mechanics, ensuring work is in compliance with Work Control, Safety, Quality, and Conduct of Operations.
Plans, coordinates and supervises the activities of assigned mechanics that maintain, repair, install and test a variety of systems, equipment, components in assigned areas/facilities.
Implements standards, policies, practices and disciplined operations ensuring employees are informed and adhere to rules and regulations.
Ensures personnel perform work safely and that mechanics are trained and qualified for their activities.
Coaches, teaches, mentors and provides technical and administrative expertise to mechanics.
Monitors work performance to ensure quality of work and compliance with work control, safety, quality, and conduct of maintenance.
Reviews and approves work packages and lockouts for maintenance activities.
Communicates with other support organizations to ensure activities are started and completed as scheduled.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience in engineering, operations and/or maintenance function relating to the responsibilities as defined in the job description.
Facility qualification process including extensive classroom, formal on-the-job training, and oral board examination conducted by facility management must be completed within one year.
Rotating shift schedule position.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associate's degree
