Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust designs to improve the performance and reliability of laboratory products
- Clarify customer specifications, requirements and boundary conditions (costs, schedules, standards)
- Develop functional concepts, compare design variants and carry out feasibility and risk assessments
- Ensure product functionality and quality
- Coordinate across disciplines to develop innovative solutions
- Produce detailed technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Conduct tests and simulations to validate design concepts
- Advise on the selection of suitable materials and components for designs
Requirements
- Successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering or equivalent)
- Relevant professional experience in mechanical design
- Previous experience with medical and laboratory products, plastics and injection molding technology, and the design of molded parts
- Ideally experienced with CATIA (V5/V6)
- Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems (preferably SAP ECTR)
- Knowledge of ISO GPS / GD&T
- Analytical thinking and a strong eye for detail
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel occasionally (max. 10%)
