About the role

  • Senior Quantitative Analyst developing and deploying systematic trading algorithms in European short-term power markets. Collaborating with traders to optimize performance and execution of assets.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, develop, implement, and deploy systematic trading algorithms in the European short-term power markets
  • Contribute to strategy development with quantitative and programming skills
  • Track performance of algorithms in the market
  • Develop and perfect balancing algorithm to ensure best execution of assets
  • Collaborate closely with traders to extract value from renewable assets and proprietary trading strategies
  • Analyze data and develop forecasts for algorithmic trading
  • Write robust, well-tested code and deploy it to production.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the energy markets, preferably within short-term power trading
  • Solve mathematical problems, motivated by releasing solutions in the real world
  • Get-stuff-done mentality, comfortable with trade-offs between speed and quality
  • Numerically literate, good understanding of statistics and data science concepts
  • Professional experience as a Python developer
  • Solid grasp of best practices within DevOps.
