About the role

  • Technical Manager overseeing Mechanical and Electrical systems in Data Centers. Ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize the reliability and performance of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strengthen the team’s ability to operate, maintain and repair M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) systems in a live/operational environment.
  • Supervise the planning, execution and quality control of all M&E works.
  • Develop, approve and maintain operational procedures (SOP / MOP / EOP).
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCA) related to M&E incidents, failures and anomalies.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers providing support for M&E systems.
  • Train facilities engineers on M&E fundamentals during their initial qualification.
  • Provide continuous technical support and promote the development of operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with critical processes (change management, incident management).
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs and client contractual requirements.
  • Maintain technological watch to improve efficiency and performance of the facilities.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent recognized qualification).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an M&E role within a critical environment.
  • Strong experience in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of M&E systems.
  • Experience in technical writing (procedures, operating methods).
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to develop personal and technical skills.
  • Minimum B2/C1 level proficiency in English and French (written and spoken).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Understanding of Data Center design principles and ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, Data Center cooling, refrigeration and automation controls.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment: switchboards, transformers, static transfer switches, UPS, diesel generators, BMS, fire safety systems (SSI).
  • Experience as a certified HV/LV engineer or willingness to undertake certification/training.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage situations under pressure.
