Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for the company’s engagement in U.S. wholesale electricity markets.
Accountable for shaping market design, transmission planning, strengthening market policy awareness, cost allocation frameworks, and enhancing commercial outcomes.
Lead and manage regional wholesale market teams across U.S. organized markets, setting strategic priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring alignment.
Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Vice President of Policy and Regulatory Affairs.
Proactively identify, monitor, and communicate federal and state regulatory initiatives.
Analyze and synthesize complex market rulemakings and assess commercial risks and opportunities.
Actively participate in ISO/RTO stakeholder processes and state regulatory proceedings.
Lead engagement with regional and state regulatory agencies on wholesale market design, transmission planning, and cost allocation matters.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, regulators, peers, and grid operators.
Manage external advisors and consultants to advance strategic priorities effectively.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Policy, or other relevant areas. Advanced degree preferred
Minimum of ten years of demonstrated experience within U.S. organized wholesale electric power markets, including experience managing and leading cross-functional teams
Demonstrated leadership in ISO/RTO stakeholder processes and regulatory proceedings, with a proven ability to guide teams, influence outcomes, and drive strategic initiatives
Experience operating in a fast-paced agile commercial environment
Adaptable to working in a cross-functional matrixed environment interacting with internal resources, external consultants, and trade organizations
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage internal and external customer relationships in person and remotely
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Strong leadership, written and verbal communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong organization skills and detailed oriented ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team

This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWE office and field locations
