About the role
- Data Engineer developing ETL processes and BI solutions for RUF Lebensmittelwerk. Collaborating on data models in a cloud environment with Microsoft technologies.
Responsibilities
- Further development of our data and reporting platform based on Microsoft Fabric & Power BI
- Design and operation of data pipelines (ELT/ETL) for data integration and processing
- Implementation of a medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold) in a lakehouse/warehouse environment
- Connecting and integrating data from various source systems, e.g., SQL Server, REST APIs, and other interfaces
- Technical administration of the platform: capacity monitoring, error analysis, and performance optimization
- Provision of clean, documented data products for Power BI (e.g., tables, views)
Requirements
- Degree in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification — ideally with relevant professional experience in data and BI engineering
- Practical experience with a common cloud ETL tool — initial experience with tools such as MS Fabric, Snowflake, or similar is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of SQL and/or Python for data processing and analysis
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly and adapted to the target audience
- Analytical and innovative mindset, with an independent and goal-oriented working style
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Very good German language skills (written and spoken); English skills are a plus.
