Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing GTF invoices, monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and closing activities related to various Pratt & Whitney Military Engine accounts
- Miscellaneous deliverables to support disclosures for 10-Q/10-K
- Participate in process improvement activities related to all central accounting functions as required
- Contribute to General Accounting by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department
- Provide excellent customer service to Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate
Requirements
- A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP Accounting
- Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Experience with current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills
- Analytical, planning and organizational skills to problem solve and recommend comprehensive solutions
