About the role

  • Radio News Editor at RJRGLEANER COMMUNICATIONS GROUP responsible for planning, production, and delivery of radio news content. Ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance with regulations while engaging audiences across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • The Radio News Editor is responsible for leading the planning, production and delivery of high-quality radio news
  • Coordinating and directing radio newscasts and current affairs programmes
  • Managing the editorial process from story selection to on-air execution
  • Providing general supervision, coaching and performance guidance to radio news staff

Requirements

  • At least six (6) years’ experience in a newsroom environment
  • Daily editorial decision-making and running orders
  • Leading or contributing to editorial meetings and conferences
  • Experience producing or anchoring radio newscasts and current affairs programmes
  • Proven experience working in a multiplatform newsroom
