About the role
- Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer deploying reliable AWS infrastructure services and supporting Regeneron scientists with their computational needs. Driving automation and leading cloud DevOps teams while staying updated with cloud advancements.
Responsibilities
- Deploy reliable infrastructure services on AWS
- Interact with Regeneron scientists to understand their computational needs
- Develop solutions to fasten their research
- Provide support and perform systems administration tasks
- Drive automation of operations and management of infrastructure as code
- Lead monitoring, metrics, and logging capabilities on cloud engineering platforms
- Lead effort to containerize various applications and tools and implement container orchestration
- Develop SOPs and configure cloud services to stand up high compute pipelines
- Keep abreast of the latest advances in cloud platforms and services
- Provide leadership for cloud DevOps engineers
- Provide end-user support, training, and documentation
Requirements
- Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, or a related field
- 2 years of Information Technology cloud engineering and DevOps experience
- Experience with Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud Services
- Experience with Containers and orchestration services such as docker, ECS, ECR, EKS
- Experience with Fargate and systems administration of Linux servers
- Experience with Ubuntu workstations, Patching, backup, upgrades, and PAM authentication
- Proficient with CloudFormation scripts to automate the server deployment and configuration
- Experience with EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, RDS, and monitoring tools
- Web server administration – Tomcat, Apache, and Nginx.
