About the role
- Senior Software Engineer working with Red Hat teams on CI framework tools for OpenStack. Engage in automation, improve processes, and lead testing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with different teams within the Red Hat OpenStack organization
- Lead the build out and continuous improvement of the CI process for OpenStack
- Contribute to feature test coverage, tooling frameworks, issue troubleshooting and resolution of OpenStack services
- Work with the OpenStack deployment - including OpenShift managed operators - and upstream CI teams to improve automation coverage
- Proactively define and implement automated processes
- Maintain and troubleshoot issues in the OpenStack production chain pipeline
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in core software engineering or DevOps/SRE roles
- Strong Linux development experience, basic networking skills
- Experience with cloud computing, configuration management, Ansible background is welcome
- Focus on test-driven development and good knowledge of unit testing frameworks and methodologies
- Development experience with Python language
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery and CI/CD tools
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
