About the role
- Director of New Ventures at Sanabil Venture Studio focusing on identifying healthcare investment opportunities. Leading fundraising efforts and supporting founders in Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research into the Saudi Arabian healthcare market, identifying key trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Develop and evaluate high-potential, investable opportunities aligned with local market needs.
- Lead diligence efforts for selected investment ideas, leveraging Redesign’s innovation infrastructure.
- Attract, source and evaluate exceptional founder talent to lead relevant investment ideas.
- Partner with founders to refine investment ideas and pitch for funding to launch companies.
- Support founders in the areas of business launch processes, evaluation of strategic opportunities & partnerships, capital development & fundraising strategy among others.
- Deepen relationships with Redesign’s existing network of 200+ venture investors while building new connections across the KSA and GCC regions.
- Represent SSRH at investor meetings and industry conferences, using insights to refine company creation strategies.
- Act as a key ambassador, promoting Redesign’s mission and values to local stakeholders and partners.
- Build out the operations and culture of Redesign Health Saudi Arabia, wearing many hats as needed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or strategic finance / investment banking.
- Expertise in healthcare and regulatory environment.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, with fluency in business model analysis, investment thesis development and financial modeling.
- Strong experience in fundraising, financial modeling, valuation, and structuring capital transactions within the GCC region.
- Experience leading work with minimal oversight and with strong attention to detail
- Interest in researching, implementing, and leveraging AI and other emerging technologies, both professionally and personally
- A Bachelor’s Degree with a record of high academic achievement; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
