About the role

  • IT Specialist managing and supporting IT infrastructure at Recipharm in Monheim am Rhein. Involved in local and global projects, ensuring IT security and system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, communications) in accordance with company and industry standards
  • Management of virtual server environments (VMware / Hyper-V) as well as Azure cloud and on-premises systems
  • Administration of backup and restore processes (e.g., Veeam) to ensure data integrity and business continuity
  • 2nd-level support for infrastructure components and 1st-level support for hardware/software issues for end users
  • Participation in IT projects at local, national and international levels
  • Monitoring system performance and IT security, including escalation of incidents
  • Maintaining IT documentation and asset inventories in accordance with GMP and internal IT policies
  • Collaboration with the global IT organization and adherence to international IT standards
  • Participation in audits and support for validations according to GAMP 5

Requirements

  • Completed IT vocational training or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or support
  • Experience with: Microsoft server and client operating systems
  • VMware / Hyper-V
  • Backup tools (e.g., Veeam)
  • Network components (Cisco, Meraki) and firewalls (Palo Alto)
  • Cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
  • Knowledge of ITIL fundamentals and IT security standards
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong service orientation and team skills
  • Good communication skills in German and English
