Responsibilities
Operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, communications) in accordance with company and industry standards
Management of virtual server environments (VMware / Hyper-V) as well as Azure cloud and on-premises systems
Administration of backup and restore processes (e.g., Veeam) to ensure data integrity and business continuity
2nd-level support for infrastructure components and 1st-level support for hardware/software issues for end users
Participation in IT projects at local, national and international levels
Monitoring system performance and IT security, including escalation of incidents
Maintaining IT documentation and asset inventories in accordance with GMP and internal IT policies
Collaboration with the global IT organization and adherence to international IT standards
Participation in audits and support for validations according to GAMP 5
Requirements
Completed IT vocational training or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
At least 3 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or support
Experience with: Microsoft server and client operating systems
VMware / Hyper-V
Backup tools (e.g., Veeam)
Network components (Cisco, Meraki) and firewalls (Palo Alto)
Cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
Knowledge of ITIL fundamentals and IT security standards
Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style
Strong service orientation and team skills
Good communication skills in German and English
