About the role

  • Product Designer at REAL, responsible for UX ownership and design lifecycle in the real estate industry. Join a fast-moving startup to create intuitive user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • End to End product & UX ownership
  • Lead the full design lifecycle for new features, from problem framing and discovery through user journeys, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and developer-ready specs.
  • Translate complex real estate/accounting concepts into clear, understandable UX flows.
  • Participate in scoping, refinement, and feature definition with PMs and engineering partners.
  • Explore edge cases, technical constraints, and tradeoffs early to influence scope and reduce rework.
  • Produce handoff-ready documentation: annotations, tokens, interaction states, and behavior rules.
  • Advocate for the user by grounding decisions in feedback, usability insights, and real workflow understanding.
  • Help facilitate user interviews, prototype testing, and product discovery sessions
  • Contribute to product direction, identifying opportunities, defining hypotheses, and proposing UX improvements.
  • Iterate quickly based on real customer usage, data patterns, and product feedback.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer in a SaaS product environment
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX process, decision-making, and clean UI craft.
  • Ability to break down complex workflows into simple, intuitive flows.
  • Proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, prototypes, interaction states).
  • Strong communication skills, ability to articulate design rationale and collaborate with product/engineering.
  • Detail-oriented: comfortable designing edge cases, empty states, loading states, errors, and data-heavy screens.
  • Curiosity and willingness to understand real-estate/accounting/data concepts (we’ll teach you).

  • Experience working in startup environment
  • Experience designing data-heavy products (dashboards, tables, workflows).
  • Experience with B2B SaaS, operations tools, or internal tools.
  • Familiarity with conducting user interviews or usability testing.
  • Ability to write structured UX documentation for handoff.
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries.
  • Understanding of metrics, instrumentation, and product analytics (Mixpanel, Heap, etc.).
