About the role

  • Finance Business Partner providing analytical support to APAC management and global Performance Management group. Collaborating closely with functional managers and driving financial insights for strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare periodic accounts, presentations, and analytical reports for WM Committees and RBC Head Office, including variance analysis and commentary to drive informed decision-making.
  • Conduct cost analysis, monitoring, and control, while proactively identifying and promoting cost-saving initiatives to optimize financial performance.
  • Own the Net Interest Income (NII) revenue reporting process and coordinate with Business leaders.
  • Assist in managing indirect expense allocations and reconcile headcount reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Global Asset Management (GAM), collaborating closely with business and functional managers.
  • Provide dedicated support to the Regional CFO, COO, CEO, Operating Committee (OC), and business heads, ensuring financial strategies align with operational goals.
  • Maintain standardized, centralized processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of management reporting.
  • Actively contribute to projects, process enhancements, and change initiatives, fostering innovation and collaboration across the network.
  • Address additional tasks as needed to support the team’s dynamic priorities.

Requirements

  • Industry Expertise: Prior experience within the Financial Services Industry, with a deep understanding of its dynamics and requirements.
  • Financial Credentials: Accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CA) and/or a Degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with EPM tools (e.g., IBM Cognos) and advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
