About the role

  • Electrical Project Engineering Manager responsible for engineering in major electrolyzer projects at global leader in PEM electrolysis. Engaging in cross-disciplinary coordination and technical standards developments.

Responsibilities

  • Technical responsibility for electrical engineering in large-scale electrolyzer projects.
  • Execution of concept, basic and detailed engineering for medium- and low-voltage systems, transformers, switchgear and UPS systems, grounding and lightning protection systems as well as lighting and cable trays.
  • Preparation and review of electrical load lists, single line diagrams (SLDs), protection and selectivity concepts, and grid connection requirements.
  • Development and review of technical specifications, calculations and documentation for electrical installations and components.
  • Interdisciplinary interface coordination with process engineering, mechanical engineering, E&I/Instrumentation & Control, layout and civil/structural engineering.
  • Close coordination with internal specialist departments and ensuring compliance with standards, guidelines and project specifications.
  • Conducting supplier meetings, technical evaluations and design reviews.
  • Supporting procurement and project management with tenders, risk assessments and change management processes.
  • Site visits to support installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Active contribution to the further development of engineering standards, tools and best practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics or a comparable qualification.
  • Solid professional experience in electrical engineering for industrial plants (e.g., plant engineering, chemical, power plant or process engineering).
  • Experience in complex customer projects, ideally in an EPC environment.
  • Good cross-discipline understanding, a confident manner and the ability to make technical decisions independently.
  • Strong communication skills in interdisciplinary teams and when liaising with suppliers and customers.
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • High willingness to learn and engage with new subject areas.
  • Hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for taking on responsibility.
