Responsibilities
Team building & scaling
You will establish the new “Agentic Application” unit. In the first phase you will coordinate development with external partners and freelancers while simultaneously recruiting the internal team.
You are responsible for the entire hiring process (interview loops, case design, final decisions).
People leadership
You act as a coach and mentor for your teams. You handle feedback, individual development plans, and foster a healthy team dynamic.
You create structures where engineering quality and reliable delivery align.
Execution & processes
You establish a planning and release cycle system suited to a startup.
You ensure ML experiments and frontend features integrate sensibly and that we learn quickly through measurability (e.g., A/B tests).
Product focus
You work closely with the product team on the roadmap and make pragmatic trade-off decisions between UX, technical risk, and speed.
Requirements
Background: You have experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead with a clear focus on people and processes.
Builder mentality: You are motivated to grow a team from 0 to 1 and to establish processes where they are missing.
Communication: You can mediate between ML experts, app developers, and product managers—without buzzwords, but with clarity and solution orientation.
Stakeholder management: You have experience not only managing external service providers but leading them operationally so that no technical chaos emerges. You know how to combine external speed with internal quality standards.
Languages: Fluent German and English.
