About the role

  • FP&A Analyst managing financial reporting and budgeting across UK and European entities at Questel. Collaborating with local teams to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • You will be reporting to a FP&A Manager
  • Act as the finance business partner for two or three entities based in Paris and London
  • Support the local Managing Directors with timely reporting, ad-hoc analyses and actionable insights
  • Work closely with operational leaders and local accounting teams to ensure data accuracy
  • Lead the reporting and budgeting for a cluster of entities (UK, France, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands)
  • Responsible for delivering high-quality financial information
  • Coordinate local stakeholders and continuously improve the reliability, relevance and efficiency of reporting and budgeting processes
  • Prepare and lead regular local reporting sessions with the Managing Directors
  • Develop partnerships with the Managing Directors and become a trusted financial advisor in their decision-making process
  • Setup checks to ensure consistent and accurate data reporting
  • Organize the transition from excel to BI tools for Business reviews
  • Increase automation and improve the reporting process to reduce delays
  • Build budget templates and organize budget meetings with Budget Owners
  • Anticipate budgeting/forecasting through reporting template innovations

Requirements

  • 3 – 8 years’ experience in Accounting, FP&A or Controlling within an international group or a Big 4 / consulting environment
  • Strong ownership & autonomy: self-starter, proactive, able to build processes, models and dashboards from scratch
  • Strong analytical & financial skills, with advanced Excel and solid accounting knowledge
  • Good communication skills, able to interact with senior management and operational teams
  • Knowledge in Business intelligence & CRM software is highly appreciated
  • Rigorous personality, organized, trustworthy and curious
  • Capacity to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to optimize processes and performance
  • Business-oriented mindset, able to translate data into insights and recommendations
  • Fluency in English.
