About the role

  • Business Analyst/Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams at OCH Technologies. Facilitating ceremonies and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
  • Maintain and groom product backlogs to ensure clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to define acceptance criteria, clarify scope, and ensure deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify, track, and remove impediments that impact team progress and work proactively to maintain team efficiency and performance.
  • Analyze business processes, workflows, system behavior, and data needs to recommend improvements and optimize product functionality.
  • Support Agile maturity across the organization by coaching team members on Agile principles and scrum best practices.
  • Monitor team KPIs and Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down, cycle time) and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to validate test cases, ensure acceptance criteria accuracy, and support UAT readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies, risks, and project deliverables to ensure smooth execution and transparency.
  • Prepare documentation such as business requirements, user stories, process maps, data flow diagrams, and release notes.
  • Assist with cross-department administrative duties and operational support as required.
  • Provide general administrative and reporting support, including assistance with Unanet tasks, status reporting, and quality department needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, Science, or related field
  • A minimum of five (5)+ years of professional experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban
  • Familiarity with Government software development and testing processes
  • Demonstrated experience leading and championing Agile best practices across cross-functional teams to drive consistent, high-quality delivery
  • Proven ability to facilitate core Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, fostering team accountability and transparency
  • Scrum Master certification or equivalent (CSM, PSM or SAFe Scrum Master) preferred
  • Experience supporting government programs, federal contracting environments, or regulated industries preferred
  • Background in UX, process modeling, data analysis, or technical documentation preferred
  • Experience with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) preferred
  • Familiarity with QA practices, including test planning and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) preferred.
