About the role
- Senior Engineer – Traction Distribution at Queensland Rail focused on 25 kV AC electrification network. Responsibilities include technical advisory, project influence, and engineering development.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Traction Distribution Team in overhead wiring, traction distribution system earthing and bonding design
- Provide technical advisory and assurance support across the business
- Develop and maintain QR’s standards and technical specifications
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, as required
- Make critical technical decisions to support safe and reliable rail operations
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical
- Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
- Extensive knowledge of 25kV AC electrification overhead wiring and earthing & bonding systems
- Proven experience in taking lead on traction distribution design
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards
- A passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
