  • Plan and execute updates, patches, security checks, and system optimizations.
  • Automate recurring tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Ensure reliable 24/7 operation of infrastructure components (including participation in an on-call rotation).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and security concepts.
  • Provide user support in a strictly regulated IT environment.

Requirements

  • Completed degree or relevant IT training (e.g., computer science, IT security, system administration) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Several years of experience administering security-critical IT systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of network segmentation and secure network architectures.
  • Experience with red-black separation concepts / domain separation.
  • Linux and/or Windows server administration.
  • Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, Proxmox).
  • Storage systems (NAS/SAN).
  • Operation of Git/GitLab, CI/CD services, and internal DevOps workflows.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with security standards (e.g., BSI guidelines), hardening guides, and audit requirements.

Benefits

  • Flexible working arrangements in a hybrid model combining remote and on-site collaboration.
  • The opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of quantum technologies.
  • Collaborative and innovative working environment in Vienna.
  • Balanced work-life integration for our employees.
