About the role
- Quality Analyst ensuring the integrity and reliability of PureSpectrum’s market research platform. Focusing on API, feature, and regression testing with collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases for new features and existing systems
- Conduct effective API testing using industry-standard tools, such as Postman, to validate backend logic and data exchange
- Perform thorough manual testing, encompassing both white-box and black-box techniques
- Execute dedicated regression testing cycles and perform new feature testing
- Write and execute test scenarios, manage test results, and track progress using dedicated test management tools
- Validate the accuracy of stored data and execute queries in NoSQL databases, with specific expertise required for MongoDB
- Analyze test data and provide actionable suggestions and feedback
- Define accurate timelines and estimations for testing efforts
- Help maintain and report on testing metrics to identify areas of issues and quality improvement opportunities
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and resolve issues
- Utilize Jira and Confluence for effective defect management, task monitoring, and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–4 years of experience as a Quality Analyst or in a similar role in software
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Proven experience in API testing, with proficiency in using Postman
- Experience in writing and executing test scenarios using dedicated test management tools
- Knowledge and experience in querying and manipulating data in MongoDB
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Familiarity with Gherkin
- Experience using tools like Jira and Confluence for managing the test life cycle and documentation
- Strong analytical aptitude and results-oriented mindset with great attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with all organizational levels
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to confidently & comfortably present information to various levels within the organization, including upper management
