About the role
- Senior Software Engineer responsible for maintaining and improving cybersecurity product quality at Proofpoint. Involves triaging customer issues and developing solutions for existing products.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve quality, reliability, and delivery of current product features.
- Help with the customer issues reported from the field by triaging and addressing them with the required changes.
- Provide feedback to new product development teams to improve quality/reliability of future products.
- Support DSPM product areas and provide customer support to help resolve difficult customer issues.
- Design, develop, and deliver solutions to customers to help them resolve problems that they are facing in their deployments.
- Work on developing solutions and resolving issues within our products to help improve the overall stability of the DSPM platform.
- Be familiar and use AI tools day to day.
Requirements
- 8 + years of development experience in Python or NodeJS is preferred
- Expertise in public cloud compute and networking, with hands-on experience in at least one of the following: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proven experience with REST API-driven automation using Python or JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Adaptability and a keen interest in staying current with new technologies and evolving industry trends.
- Understanding of github and experience with CI/CD pipelines, including the setup and management of automated build, test, and deployment workflows
- Prior experience in testing SaaS security products is a plus
- Experience in debugging complex products, and building monitoring dashboards is preferred
