Responsibilities
Development and improvement of ifp's proprietary test systems with respect to functionality, usability and manufacturability (PCR, ELISA, microbiology-based tests)
Planning, execution and evaluation of experiments for product optimization (sensitivity, LoD, specificity, robustness, inhibitor tolerance, reproducibility)
Initial focus on PCR kits and DNA extraction workflows: column-based extraction, magnetic-bead-based extraction
Protocol development and process stabilization
Troubleshooting for anomalies in application/performance (internally and from customer feedback), including root-cause analysis and deriving corrective actions
Documentation in accordance with quality requirements
Support for technology transfer into production
Research on methods, reagents, raw materials and competing products, and evaluation of supplier materials
Requirements
Completed degree in a natural science (e.g., Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or similar) or completed vocational training (e.g., BTA / MTA / laboratory technician (m/f/d)) with relevant professional experience
Practical experience in a molecular biology laboratory, ideally with: development/optimization of qPCR, nucleic acid extraction (column and/or magnetic beads) and protocol optimization
Understanding of validation and comparative studies and structured work with data
Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills (at least B2), written and spoken
Careful, traceable documentation practices
Strong self-organization, team spirit and enthusiasm for methodological development
Advantageous (not mandatory): experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 / ISO 13485)
Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in handling cell cultures
Experience with stability studies, batch release and QC-related tests
