Responsibilities
Operate and modernize infrastructure – You are responsible for our hybrid IT environment (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Hybrid, Azure) and actively shape the move to a Cloud-First approach.
Virtualization and automation – You manage our Hyper-V environments, ensure availability and performance, and automate where it makes sense.
Networking and security – Switching, routing, VPN across multiple sites. You keep communications between Germany (DE) and the UK stable and secure.
Projects with impact – Microsoft 365 rollouts, cloud migrations, AI integrations in a regulated laboratory environment, and scaling our IT infrastructure.
Troubleshooting and documentation – When something goes wrong, you find the root cause. And you document it so your future self will thank you.
Requirements
Completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist in System Integration) or an equivalent qualification.
At least 5 years' experience administering complex IT environments.
Microsoft skills: Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365.
Strong experience with Hyper-V (deployment, operation, troubleshooting), Azure cloud services (hybrid scenarios), and networking knowledge in VPN, switching, and routing.
Linux skills are a plus.
You work independently and are reliable.
You are proficient in German (min. C1) and English (min. B2).
