About the role

  • SEM Manager optimizing global paid search engine growth at Preply by managing campaigns and analyzing data. Collaborating with teams to enhance marketing strategies and drive measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and optimize SEM campaigns across Google and Microsoft Ads, including keyword management, bidding, account structure, and creatives.
  • Use performance data to form hypotheses and apply optimizations that improve ROI, conversion quality, and overall efficiency.
  • Design and run basic A/B tests, defining clear hypotheses, success metrics, and expected outcomes.
  • Build and maintain channel-level reports and dashboards (e.g. Looker) to monitor performance and surface optimization opportunities.
  • Work closely with Data and Martech teams to ensure accurate tracking and effective use of the MarTech stack.
  • Collaborate with Localisation, Creative, and Brand teams to plan creative strategy and ensure successful rollout across campaigns.
  • Contribute to SEM and broader marketing strategy through insights, experimentation, and strong execution.
  • Share learnings within the SEM team and Marketing Chapter, contributing to the development and adoption of channel best practices.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of SEM experience in high-growth B2C environments, ideally with exposure to subscription-based models.
  • Proven ability to scale growth efficiently (LTV/CAC) across diverse products and regions.
  • Deep expertise in Google Ads operations, bidding strategies and automation.
  • Strong analytical and technical fluency with tools like Looker, Snowflake, and attribution systems.
  • Effective stakeholder manager - able to align Data, Martech, Product and Marketing teams around shared goals.
  • Hands-on with experimentation, designing A/B, geo and incrementality tests to drive measurable ROI.
  • Creative problem solver who combines analytical rigor with ownership and initiative.
