Manage Pottencial's underwriting team, overseeing risk assessment and client interactions across insurance products. Ensure compliance with technical standards and internal policies.
Responsibilities
Ensure risk assessment processes through management, strategy development and analysis of insurance proposals to guarantee compliance with the company’s credit and risk policies;
Support the commercial, claims, customer service and sales teams through meetings, training and technical guidance;
Participate in credit committees with executives and the underwriting team to decide on risk acceptance;
Conduct client visits and roadshows to structure new business opportunities;
Propose development of new features in Pottencial’s product system through meetings, technical guidance and validation of automated processes;
Liaise with reinsurers and coinsurers on insurance proposals for facultative placements and special acceptances, and participate in negotiations for reinsurance contract renewals;
Define strategies and performance indicators for automated underwriting models to scale operations and mitigate risks;
Define and approve policies and standard operating procedures;
Ensure compliance and execution of the guarantee issuance process by applying technical standards to meet targets and ensure business profitability;
Manage information on outstanding premiums for the Guarantee and Lease Surety products, with autonomy to make case-by-case decisions and actions to prevent defaults in the portfolio;
Manage and ensure the pricing policy for Guarantee and Lease Surety products for corporate (PJ) and individual (PF) customers, aiming to establish commercial terms for brokers;
Manage the policy cancellation process and premium refunds for all products;
Manage the onboarding/registration process to ensure compliance with technical standards, internal policies and service level agreements (SLAs);
Manage individual underwriting for the Lease Surety product, participating in the development of strategies, policies and risk/credit approval processes to ensure product profitability and lower loss ratios for the company;
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
Advanced MS Office skills;
People management experience;
Business management skills;
Commercial management experience;
Performance/metrics management;
