Responsibilities
- Guide and support authors in the development of pedagogical projects
- Edit original content related to each project
- Prepare supplementary content for printed book pages and digital resources
- Carry out all stages of subject-area editing activities
- Ensure didactic sequencing in a gradual and linear manner
- Receive, review and implement changes to instructional materials (errata)
- Review legal documents and content relevant to the subject area
- Provide supporting information about instructional materials to the Commercial and Marketing departments
- Participate in the selection and recruitment of authors
- Monitor developments in the educational publishing market and participate in industry events
- Adapt works for re-editions or format transformations
- Stay up to date with the educational textbook market
- Comply with applicable legislation and internal regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics
- Experience editing mathematics instructional content for Basic Education (K–12)
- Knowledge of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC)
- Ability to perform critical analysis of instructional materials
- Strong command of pedagogical and methodological practices for teaching Mathematics
- Desirable: classroom teaching experience in Basic Education (K–12)
- Experience editing mathematics instructional content for early grades
