Responsibilities
You perform maintenance, repairs and safety inspections (STK) on medical laser systems in the field.
You carry out systematic troubleshooting on electrical, electromechanical and device-level assemblies and rectify faults on site at customer locations.
You test systems for functionality and operational safety, replace components as required and ensure the reliable readiness for use of the systems.
You document service calls, test results and measures taken accurately and traceably in accordance with internal guidelines.
You support customers by phone or via remote support for technical queries and for initial fault diagnosis.
You independently coordinate your assignments within your territory, schedule appointments with customers and ensure a professional, service-oriented process.
You help ensure that medical laser systems in the field can be operated reliably, in compliance with standards and with high availability.
Requirements
You have completed a technical vocational qualification or a degree, for example as a Medical Technician, Service Technician, Electronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Mechatronics Technician, Electrical Engineer, State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineer, Service Engineer or a comparable discipline.
You have experience in technical service, customer service, field service or on-site service — ideally in medical technology, laboratory equipment, laser systems, test instruments, analytical devices or comparable complex capital equipment.
You are confident in troubleshooting electrical or mechatronic systems and work in a structured, precise and responsible manner.
Knowledge of maintenance, repair, STK, device technology, module replacement or technical testing is an advantage.
Most importantly, you are able to quickly familiarize yourself with complex systems.
For the field service role you hold a class B driving license and are willing to travel within the Düsseldorf, Münster and Bremen areas.
