About the role

  • E-commerce Trading Manager optimizing online sales performance at Bird & Blend Tea Co. Overseeing trading strategy, website management, and driving key metrics for revenue and customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day trading of the website, keeping it optimised for sales, conversion and a brilliant customer experience
  • Drive performance across key metrics including revenue, conversion rate, AOV and customer lifetime value
  • Spot trading opportunities through data, trends and stock position and act on them
  • Lead regular trading reviews with clear actions and recommendations
  • Work closely with Senior Merchandiser to ensure online stock levels and cover are appropriately managed and opportunities are jumped on
  • Run the day-to-day website management, supported by the E-commerce Assistant
  • Work confidently in Shopify, managing products, collections, merchandising and onsite content
  • Make sure the site is always accurate, up to date and trading at its best
  • Bring campaigns to life on-site in a way that feels engaging and commercially strong
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing, CRM and Brand to ensure everything lands seamlessly
  • Test, learn and continuously improve performance
  • Own the end-to-end onsite journey, always looking for ways to make it smoother, faster and more enjoyable
  • Work with external development agency to improve website experience and functionality
  • Dive into performance data across traffic, conversion, revenue and customer behaviour
  • Use spreadsheets and analytics tools to uncover trends and opportunities
  • Turn insights into clear, actionable improvements
  • Share performance updates confidently with senior stakeholders
  • Line manage and support the development of the E-commerce Assistant
  • Take real ownership of the e-commerce channel as the go-to expert
  • Work proactively and independently, driving ideas forward
  • Partner with Systems, Finance, Retail and Brand teams to support: Product and campaign launches, Loyalty programme development, Delivery and service improvements, Omnichannel initiatives

Requirements

  • Strong experience in a senior e-commerce or trading role, with clear commercial ownership
  • Someone who enjoys both thinking strategically and getting hands-on
  • Advanced Shopify experience (essential), you’re confident working directly in-platform
  • A love of data, spreadsheets and using insights to drive decisions
  • Proactive and self-motivated, you spot opportunities and run with them
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce trading and customer behaviour
  • A collaborative, down-to-earth approach with great communication skills
  • 5+ years in e-commerce, digital trading or online retail
  • Experience in a DTC, retail or consumer brand environment preferred
  • Proven track record of driving online growth and performance improvements
  • Experience managing or mentoring others.
