About the role
- Data Engineer Associate developing and implementing data solutions within PNC's Asset Management Group. Collaborating on technical solutions using PySpark, Hadoop, and SQL for scalable data systems.
Responsibilities
- Assists in developing, supporting and implementing data solutions for multiple applications
- Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions
- Performs data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions
- Assists in designing and building data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms
- Consults on data migration and transformation to ensure accuracy and security of data solutions
Requirements
- Hands on experience with PySpark and Hadoop ecosystems
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to understand business logic, write optimized queries, and work with large analytical datasets in Hive/Impala
- Experience building and supporting data ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Familiarity with agile delivery models
- Working knowledge of data governance and tooling
