About the role
- Procurement Manager overseeing strategic project purchasing and supplier management at PLATH GmbH in Hamburg. Focus on cost, quality, and performance in the procurement process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for strategic and operational project purchasing throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Responsible for individual product categories, including developing and implementing category strategies and supplier/partner management, taking into account cost, quality, delivery performance and risks
- Conducting tenders, bid comparisons and contract negotiations
- Selecting, evaluating, maintaining and further developing suppliers and strategic partners
- Close collaboration with project management, engineering, quality, logistics and controlling
- Ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budgets and supply security in projects, as well as implementation of internal procurement policies
- Analyzing procurement markets and identifying cost reduction and optimization opportunities
- Contract management including framework agreements, product supply and work contracts
- Monitoring relevant KPIs and reporting to management
- Contributing to the further development of procurement processes and systems
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in project and/or strategic procurement
- Experience in category management and supplier development
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Analytical, structured and results-oriented working style
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., proAlpha) and MS Office
- Business-fluent German and English
- High initiative, assertiveness and the ability to work in a team
- Willingness for occasional international travel
