About the role

  • Legal Intern collaborating with the in-house legal team in Calabasas, California. Conducting research, assisting with litigation and intellectual property matters in a full-time summer internship.

Responsibilities

  • Support in-house legal team by conducting legal research and analyzing complex legal issues
  • Assist with litigation and intellectual property matters
  • Work closely with the Associate General Counsel and General Counsel to develop practical legal skills
  • Conduct legal research using Bloomberg Law and other resources, preparing clear and concise legal memoranda
  • Assist with litigation support, including document reviewing and providing summaries and analysis
  • Review and analyze the company's intellectual-property portfolio to identify gaps in coverage and provide strategic recommendations
  • Support intellectual-property initiatives and trademark management processes
  • Collaborate with the legal team on various projects as they arise
  • Participate in meetings and build relationships with other interns across departments

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school with strong grades. Ideal candidates are rising 2L students. Exceptional undergraduate students considering law school may also be considered.
  • Able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the course of a 10 to 12-week summer internship between May through September 2026.
  • Proficient in legal research methodologies and platforms.
  • Strong legal writing skills with the ability to produce clear, well-organized memoranda. Must submit a short (2-5 page) writing sample with application.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
