About the role

  • Director, PR & Storytelling at Phillip Jeffries crafting compelling stories and driving media coverage for luxury wallcovering brand. Elevating brand visibility and establishing authority in the design industry.

Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling brand and product stories that uphold PJ’s pillars and establish us as the ultimate authority in wallcovering
  • Develop a strategic content roadmap aligned with brand and business objectives
  • Establish brand voice guidelines and ensure consistency across all channels
  • Create campaign messaging that resonates with client needs and inspires designers
  • Craft and pitch stories to both endemic and non-endemic press
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with editors, influencers, designers, and partners
  • Manage press calendars, coverage trackers, and identify opportunities to showcase industry news
  • Measure and report on the impact of all media efforts
  • Develop strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships within and beyond the design community
  • Utilize showrooms and headquarters for immersive brand experiences
  • Collaborate with designers on promotional opportunities and product selections
  • Amplify brand and partner initiatives across all channels and quantify results
  • Attend industry events, markets, and showhouses to stay on the pulse of design trends
  • Meet regularly with editors, influencers, and industry insiders
  • Continuously monitor trends and foster innovation to keep PJ at the forefront of the industry

Requirements

  • Must be based in New Jersey (or able to work on-site 3 days per week at our Fairfield, NJ headquarters)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in PR, brand storytelling, or strategic communications, preferably in luxury design or home interiors
  • Proven ability to craft compelling brand and product narratives across multiple channels
  • Strong media relations experience with established connections to editors, influencers, and industry partners
  • Demonstrated success in securing earned media coverage and managing press calendars
  • Experience developing strategic content roadmaps and brand voice guidelines
  • Ability to lead immersive brand experiences and partnerships within the design community
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and pitching abilities
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with PR tools
  • Willingness to travel for industry events and markets as needed
  • Collaborative team player with a “can-do” attitude and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Creative thinker with a passion for design trends and continuous innovation.
